Ingredients:
> 1 broiler chicken
> 2 cloves garlic
> 2 cups of chicken broth
> 1 cup of rice
> 1/4 tsp pepper
> 1 cup of onion
> 2 tsp thyme
> 1/2 lb of smoked sausages
> 2 cans of tomatoes
> 1/4 tsp of hot pepper sauce
> paprika
> 3 tsp of virgin oil
Directions:
Step 1: Cut the broiler chicken into pieces and rub it with the paprika to add some flavor.
Step 2: Use a large skillet to heat the olive oil then add the chicken pieces and brown both sides. Remove the chicken pieces from skillet.
Step 3: Add celery, garlic, onion and saute the ingredients over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 4: Stir in chicken broth, tomatoes, sausage, pepper, salt, thyme, hot sauce, and rice. Carefully add the chicken and coat them with sauce then bring to boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Step 5: Add shrimp and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 6: Stir and enjoy.
Cabbage rolls
During those cold winter nights, you can never go wrong with this recipe. This cabbage rolls recipe is stuffed with rice and ground beef and baked with tomato sauce. Creations in Cuisine Catering recommends if you want to soften the cabbage leaves, put the whole cabbage in a freezer overnight before you prepare the cabbage rolls.
Ingredients:
> 1 lb ground beef
> 1 large egg
> 1 tsp pepper
> 3/4 cup of rice
> 1/2 cup of onion
> 1/4 cup of milk
> 1 1/2 tsp salt
> 3 tsp sugar
> 2 tsp vinegar
> 1 can tomato sauce
> 1/2 cup of water
Directions:
Step 1: Put one whole cabbage in a freezer overnight.
Step 2: Peel 12 leaves off the cabbage. The cabbage leaves must be flexible enough not to break.
Step 3: Combine onion, milk, rice, egg, ground beef, salt, and pepper for filling. Mix the ingredients properly then divide into 12 portions.
Step 4: Place the ground beef mixture into each of the 12 cabbage leaves.
Step 5: Roll the cabbage leaf around the filling and fasten with toothpicks.
Step 6: Place the cabbage roll inside the oven.
Step 7: Combine 1/2 cup of water, tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and tomato sauce to make the sauce.
Step 8: Pour the sauce over the stuffed cabbage roll and bake for one hour.
Step 9: With a spoon, remove the cabbage and dispose of the toothpicks.
